I Peter 4:7-11

Vs. 10a- “As each has received (past tense) a gift, use it to serve one another, …”
- Serving is a stewardship, not a suggestion.
Vs. 10b- “As each has received (past tense) a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.”
- Serving is empowered by God, not you.
Vs. 11a- “whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies…”
- Serving brings God glory, not you.
Vs. 11b- “…in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
- Serving is an expression of love, not an obligation
Vs. 8-9- “Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. 9 Show hospitality to one another without grumbling.”
